Why We Built This Site
Louisiana provides public access to many court records, but St. Bernard Parish records are not all held or published in one place. The St. Bernard Parish Clerk of Court is the legal custodian of the 34th JDC district-court file, including civil, criminal, traffic, family, probate, and other district-court material. The five 34th JDC divisions set and hear matters, while the District Attorney publishes a separate public criminal date list. The statewide eClerks LA and Louisiana Clerks’ Remote Access Authority system is another layer for locating participating parish information and qualifying criminal minute entries.
Lower-court routing is separate. Justice of the Peace Wards A through K keep their own records and public contact channels, and no unified St. Bernard Parish JP case-search portal was located. A reader may need the Clerk counter for an official file, Cott eSearch for an available paid parish index, eClerks LA for a statewide locator, or a ward office for a JP matter. The purpose is to make those distinctions clear before a search begins.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: how criminal dockets and civil dockets are kept and read in St. Bernard Parish
- Court dates and settings: how to use the court calendar, the DA’s public criminal list, and division contacts to confirm a hearing
- Case lookups: how to run a case search by name or case number through parish and statewide channels
- Record requests: how court records, minute entries, and certified copies are obtained from the Clerk
The pages distinguish a calendar listing from a case register, a portal image from a certified copy, and a 34th JDC case from a separate JP ward matter. They also note when official research did not establish a local fee, search field, processing time, or online service. That avoids treating an unverified web result as a complete court record.
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to the Louisiana courts, the St. Bernard Parish Clerk of Court, or another government agency. It cannot access an official file, alter a court calendar, or provide a legal answer about a particular matter. Official action and official documents come from the court or clerk that keeps the record.
- It cannot retrieve an official docket sheet or case file for a person.
- It cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting.
- It cannot remove, seal, amend, or correct a court record.
- It cannot issue a certified copy of a docket, order, minute entry, or court document.
- It cannot provide legal advice or interpret a specific case.
- It cannot promise that every public listing, fee, phone number, or setting remains current.
Only the St. Bernard Parish Clerk of Court or the court that heard the matter can issue an official or certified court record. A portal display does not replace that document.
Search Partners
Some pages include search boxes supplied by third-party providers. Those providers operate their own services and establish their own prices and result displays. If a tool leads to a paid enrollment, this private resource may receive a referral fee that helps support its availability. The operators of those tools, not St. Bernard Parish Court Docket, control their services, charges, and search results.
